House Edge
Your delivery van is out of fuel at the last gas station before nowhere. Dale sells fuel at a dollar a liter, slowly. Next to the pump there's a pachinko machine that sells fuel too, faster, and with a House Edge of ??%. It is not in your favor.
House Edge is an incremental game about a number. Run deliveries, keep the vans fed, and lean on the machine until its edge goes below zero. Then keep going until The Management offers to sell it to you.
- A pachinko machine whose odds you can actually see, and bend: lean on it, polish the cups, find the hot slot, trigger Fever.
- When you start winning, The Management notices. Heat, pit bosses, enforced breaks. The pump never closes. Dale is always open.
- Fold to keep what you've learned (Tells), and spend it on knowing more.
- It has an ending: about 3 to 5 hours to buy the machine and see the other side of it.
- Keeps running while you're away (up to 8 hours). Saves in your browser, with export and import.
- Tiny pixel art, a deadpan desert, and a man in a cowboy hat who keeps winning.
Free. No ads. No real-money gambling, obviously: the game about a rigged machine can't be one.
